AMY STORY, President/CEO

Amy has been with the BKCEDC since September 2016, initially focusing on marketing, communications, special projects, and website management. Over the years, her role has expanded significantly, along with her impact on project procurement, Member relations, marketing, and overall organizational operations.

She stepped into the role of President/CEO in the fall of 2019, where she now leads the BKCEDC in its mission to advance business opportunities that strengthen and grow a vibrant, diverse economic future for Kendall County.

Amy brings a strong academic and professional foundation, with a background in finance, marketing, and law. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and Marketing as well as a J.D. from The University of Texas at Austin.

Deeply invested in the Kendall County community, Amy has served in numerous volunteer roles within Boerne I.S.D., the Boerne Education Foundation, and on the Board of Das GreenHaus, Kendall County’s first business incubator.

BECKY WELCH, Operations & Social Media Manager

Becky joined the BKCEDC in November 2025 as the Operations and Social Media Manager. In this role, she supports organizational operations, Member communications, project coordination, and digital content creation. Her background in client relations, public communications, and community engagement allows her to strengthen both day-to-day operations and strategic outreach efforts.

Becky brings over eight years of experience in executive support, event planning, media relations, and nonprofit communications, along with prior work in a start-up technology company—experience that aligns well with the BKCEDC’s focus on entrepreneurship-led economic development. A Boerne resident since 2006, she has been active in the community through the Boerne Education Foundation, PTO, athletic booster clubs, and her service on the Board of Directors for Transformation House.

Becky’s strong relationships, collaborative nature, and passion for service reflect the values that guide the BKCEDC’s mission to support a vibrant and diverse economic future for Kendall County.

NATALIE MROZ, Chief Administrative Officer

Natalie has been a member of the BKCEDC team since November 2017. Her responsibilities include assisting the President/CEO and Chief Operating Officer with daily operations of the office, as well as managing the project management system and ensuring the team has a current and accurate list of projects. Natalie was recently certified as a Business Retention & Expansion Coordinator and is now the lead point of contact for BRE.
