Amy Story serves as President/CEO of the Boerne Kendall County Economic Development Corporation (BKCEDC), where she leads efforts to support business growth, investment and a strong, diverse economic future for Kendall County. She has been with the organization since 2016 and has served as President/CEO since 2019.

Amy brings a background in finance, marketing and law to her work. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and Marketing and a J.D. from The University of Texas at Austin.

Amy is actively involved in organizations supporting economic vitality, business and community development throughout Kendall County. In addition to serving on the Board of Das GreenHaus, she is an Advisory Board Member for VisitComfortTX, a Board Member for the Comfort Area Chamber of Commerce, and an Advisory Director for the Greater Boerne Chamber of Commerce. Her community involvement has also included volunteer roles with Boerne ISD and the Boerne Education Foundation.

Becky Welch serves as Operations & Social Media Manager for the Boerne Kendall County Economic Development Corporation (BKCEDC), supporting organizational operations, member communications, project coordination, events and digital communications, including the organization’s social media, newsletters and other outreach efforts.

Becky brings more than eight years of experience in executive support, event planning, media relations and nonprofit communications, along with prior experience with a start-up technology company. Her background in client relations, communications and community engagement supports the BKCEDC’s work in business retention and expansion, entrepreneurship and economic development.

A Boerne resident since 2006, Becky has been actively involved in the community through the Boerne Education Foundation, PTO and athletic booster organizations. She currently serves as Vice President on the Board of Directors for Transformation House, where she previously served as Director of Public Relations.
